New Officials

Text or call 979-574-6968 or email assigner@bvtaso.org to get on the interest list.  Once you have checked in with our assigner, Thomas Walkoviak, please make sure you can attend the required trainings listed below.  If so, please complete the registration steps listed below.  IF YOU PAY TASO DUES AND CANNOT ATTEND THE TRAININGS, YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED OR ALLOWED TO OFFICIATE.

  Complete online TASO application and pay the state association fee. 

Setting up Arbiter Account

Thomas will add you to Arbiter, you can't be added any other way.

First-year officials should contact  Thomas Walkoviak, he will send you a welcome email with login info. You might have to check spam.

Attend minimum 3 basic on-court trainings.  TBA

Attend scrimmages August 8, 9, 11

ALL OF THESE ITEMS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL 1ST AND 2ND YEAR OFFICIALS

Take and pass TASO Volleyball Official online exam. To access the test, go to www.taso.org and click on Members Login, then enter your TASO ID number and password. 

Complete the TASO Online Clinic Modules (these are different from the chapter modules).

Scroll to the bottom. Click on Begin Test to take the exam.  

Scroll down to the Volleyball Clinics area and click on "Start Video".  Watch each of the modules listed.  Please use a computer and google chrome web browser.

Rule books will be available in July, contact Wally Simpson.  Case Books, Illustrated and Simplified books, available same time as rule books.  Testing and TASO Online clinic are available JULY 16 - Aug. 20 .  Visit taso.org and log into members portal.  

Pay Brazos Valley TASO Volleyball Chapter Local ($20) and Assigner ($70) dues. 

Purchase all required official uniform items and equipment.  Vendors will be at the State Meeting, Regional Clinics and have online purchasing options.  Please wait to purchase.
